As the Town's learning center, the Merrimack Public Library provides dynamic and responsive service to its information consumers through both physical and virtual environments to build a strong, literate community and to improve the quality of life in Merrimack. We are governed by a five-member elected Board of Trustees who each serve a three-year term.
We offer Early Literacy Storytime Classes for ages birth through 6 as well as many other cultural and educational events for kids, teens and adults, including a weekly crochet group, cribbage club and Dungeons & Dragons game night. We are the first public library in NH to host a working seismograph housed in the 1925 original Lowell Memorial Library building.
Our building gives you access to reserved meeting rooms, study areas, public gathering spaces, computers for public use, and a photo copier machine.
Use your library card to check out not only books and magazines in print or digital format, but also passes to local museums, eReaders, a telescope, Legolend Kits and a Kill-A-Watt meter. You can also download music using our FreegalMusic service. And since we're part of a library consortium with surrounding towns, your Merrimack card can be used to borrow materials from each of the 12 consortium-member libraries.
We're here to help you with your research and technology needs or to help you find your next great read! Call, Click or Come in!
